INSTALLATION

CULVERT SOCK

  1. Culvert pipe should be cut back to natural ground level, so the Sock is fully supported. Fold the Sock inside itself to give double thickness protection over the pipe.
  2. Secure the Sock to the pipe using the stainless steel strap and Jubilee clip.
  3. Generally 2 straps up to 20m of Sock, with an additional strap for every 10m extra length. Additional straps should be added for very steep embankments or poor soils. Band-it straps can be used as an alternative.
  4. Ensure some slack is provided between the end of culvert and the first cleat, so that the Sock may move to suit the flow of water.
  5. Hold-down cleats are provided at approx. 1.5m centres. Anchor the Sock to the ground using either steel J pegs, or No 8 wire and waratahs on steep or unstable ground.
  6. For Culvert Sock installed in exposed high wind areas, a wire can be passed through the Sock to assist in holding the Sock in place.

POND LINERS

  1. Excavate the pond to the required dimensions.
  2. Excavate the perimeter trench.
  3. Advise us of the total length, width and depthse dimensions. (Refer diagram on order form).
  4. Cover any exposed rough surfaces of the excavation with compacted clay.
  5. Choose a day with no wind to install the liner.
  6. Your liner will be delivered on a pallet with specific instructions as to where to place the liner on the edge of the excavation, and how to unroll it. Extra manpower will be needed to pull out the liner and hold it in place until an initial water fill is completed.

Water Head Resistance

“LANDMARK” has a very high water head resistance. This is due to the flexibility and elasticity of the coating resin. It is able to maintain its integrity even when under considerable stretch loads. The water head resistance is in excess of 400kpa.
